"Dad had been struggling to prepare meals for himself & didn’t want to ask anyone for help. With children & grandchildren busy with their lives & I was working overseas, we had to find some way of supporting him whilst retaining his independence & dignity.
What a huge relief it was to discover Meals on Wheels. A good selection of main courses on the menu with a comforting pudding to follow, just perfect & very reasonably priced. For a service that he tried to resist initially, finally agreeing to a 'bit of a trial', here we are almost a year on & dad looks forward to his meals on wheels delivery every day, Monday to Friday. The ladies & gents that deliver always take a moment to acknowledge him, a few kindly words make all the difference to his day. So well done to the team, you have all enabled us to continue with our daily lives, confident in the knowledge that dad will have a nourishing, tasty meal delivered to him daily. In addition, it’s a midday check for us that he’s up & about and able to answer the door, if not you can be sure someone will call to let us know & we can then make sure he is safe & well.
Thanks again for your wonderful service, above and beyond what was expected."
